HEY BARBARA,

TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOU!

What is the best book you have ever read? How can I possibly choose just one?  Perhaps I shall say Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne because although I cannot be sure, I suspect it was probably the first 'proper' book I read myself.  Perhaps my love of reading is down to a bear! But a bear who is very wise about the ways of people.

If you could have anyone in the world alive or not alive who would that be and why? Today, my dinner guest would be the marionette master from the National Marionette Theatre in Prague - because he would make me laugh.  But tomorrow it might be Socrates so I could ask him to review the last couple of thousand years' history since his fateful evaluation of the alleged wise of Athens and ask him his thoughts now about the best form for societal governance. And the next day it might be Buddha so that . . . oh wait, you only said one dinner. . .
